Peoples’ Parade

The opening gathering for the Peoples’ Parade for environmental justice and financial regulation is at the Kaserne (Basel) at 1.30pm on Saturday 24th of June. The closure gathering will take place at De Wette Park next to the BIS at around 4.30 pm.

The parade will focus on the experiences of those people who are working against fossil fuels and for the preservation of their livelihoods in Uganda, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Senegal, Philippines and other places and who will travel to Basel from June 22-25.

The association and organizations that organize the Peoples’ Parade are united behind the following understanding :

• We adopt a respectful attitude towards all people.
• We do not use physical or verbal violence against any person.
• No buildings, streets or any public spaces will be damaged or painted.

We ask all organizations and groups participating in the Peoples’ Parade to put their message and not their logo in the foreground.
